Aus aktuellem Anlaß möchte ich auf einen schon etwas älteren Artikel von Paul Graham aufmerksam machen. Paul Graham ist eine Legende - 1995 rief er ein Startup ins Leben, in dem ausschließlich LISP) verwendet wurde und das er später an Yahoo verkaufte. 2005 gründete er Y Combinator, das Venture-Kapital für zahlreiche Internet / Silicon Valley Start-ups zur Verfügung stellte. Paul Graham ist auch ein bekannter Autor und Essayist.

Bereits 2024 schrieb er in einem vielbeachteten Essay:

“If you’re thinking without writing, you only think you’re thinking”,

in dem er argumentierte, daß durch LLMs die Menschen das Schreiben verlernen. Ich fürchte, er hat recht und teile seine Schlussfolgerung:

“So a world divided into writes and write-nots is more dangerous than it sounds. It will be a world of thinks and think-nots. I know which half I want to be in, and I bet you do too […] It will be the same with writing. There will still be smart people, but only those who choose to be.”

Die Welt droht in Literate und Illiterate zu zerfallen - eine neue Form von Feudalismus. Das zu verhindern wird eine der wichtigsten Herausforderung unserer Bildungssysteme werden.
